Therefore, I tell you do not worry about life . . . . Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life.Matthew 6:25, 27

How many times has someone advised you not to worry, everything will be fine!  I know I have heard that hundreds, if not thousands, of times.  But I don’t consider myself to be a worrier.  It seems I always just try to push worries away, from myself and from others.  I take comfort in simply denying they exist.  But they do – in spades.  Deny as I will, worry is woven into the very fiber that makes me human.  Before I fall asleep tonight, I will worry about my daughter, about my friend, about my heart with its spasms of unrhythmic beats.

PRAYER:  Lord, I trust there is a single place in this universe where one day I will lay my heart to rest without worry.  In your hands, in your house, my loving Father.
