The Shepherd of his people reassures us that we are dear to him and we are in his loving care as innocent lambs in his arms. What security is offered in such a gentle and gracious way!  He walks with us and we are safe in his keeping.  As we listen, we do not need to concern ourselves when death approaches because we live onto eternity.  When we observe the Good Shepherd in the endearing image of the stained glass window, we are reminded that he is our protector, our guide in life everlasting.
