Mark 2:4-5
And when they could not bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him; and after having dug through it, they let down the mat on which the paralytic lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

This text might be subtitled, when BFF (Best Friends Forever) act. The story of the paralyzed man and his friends is unparalleled in the biblical text.  Elsewhere, the faith of a parent is met with the healing of a child, but nowhere else do we find the faith of unnamed friends changing the course of another’s life.  When Jesus saw the faith of the friends, he healed the man who was paralyzed.

I just want you to know you have POWER as a friend.  You have the power to bring them before God, in person or in prayer.  You have the power to have faith for them and with them.  Your friendship might just be the door through which they walk to receive a blessing.  Your job is to hold them before God, in whatever way you can, and to have faith that God will do the rest.  So, for which friend will you pray as you read this today?  And thank God that you are their friend!
