“My Father’s glory is shown by your bearing much fruit. . . .” – John 15:8
Many of our hymns and anthems invite us to give God the glory. Often we believe that is best accomplished in our worship and in our praise. But there are other ways to give God glory, many other ways. Jesus suggests one such way in the 15th chapter of John. We give God glory when our lives bear fruit. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control (Gal 5:22-23). When you or I exhibit any of these ways of being we give God glory. As you go into this day, seek to find one or more ways to honor God by your life and by your actions. May God get the glory from our lives.
