Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
I have learned in my spiritual journey that we do not always get what we want, even if we pray about it. When I was 21 years old, my mom was dying of cancer. I remember praying in the chapel of Lutheran General Hospital for her circumstances to change. She died a couple of months later at the age of 46 years old.
At that point, I realized that everything is according to God’s plan no matter what. When more family members became sick, my prayers changed to feelings of trust, acceptance and love for our heavenly father who loves and cries with us.
God, thank you for always being there, even when we sometimes can’t hear you. You know what is best for our lives ALWAYS. Remind me to always TRUST even if it doesn’t seem right at the time. For I know that you will be there wrapping your loving arms around us in ALL times.
