Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said,” Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.” Mark 12 43-44
My friend, who gives voice lessons, got stuck on what to do. When she asked me for help I felt that I should not be the one to try and help her. After all, I am not a professional and I was not sure what to do. But, I gave her everything I had and it ended up being exactly what she needed.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, when we compare ourselves to others we falter. But you see us as we are, with our own gifts and abilities. Thank you for always giving us what we need and for teaching us that, with you, we are enough. Thank you for giving us gifts with which to serve you and others. Amen.
