Then the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you alone are righteous before me in this generation.  Take with you seven pairs of all clean animals, the male and its mate; and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and its mate; and seven pairs of the birds of the air also, male and female, to keep their kind alive on the face of all the earth.  For in seven days I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made I will blot out from the face of the ground.”  And Noah did all that the Lord had commanded him.        Genesis 7:1-5

Thought:
We love the Noah story.  It is a favorite of children the world wide.  But, Lord, look at those faces.  This is not a happy group.  Noah, Mrs. Noah, Ham, Mrs. Ham, Shem, Mrs. Shem, Japheth and Mrs. Japeth had LOTS of company and who knows how much sanitation or room.

In our walk with God, from time to time, we are given an assignment where there is not much room to maneuver and maybe not enough, well, I will let you complete that thought.  God, does not promise us easy assignments.  God does not warranty that we will always be happy as we work through what our hands have been given to do.  But, God does promise to be with us, to guide us and to equip us.  God does promise that all things will work together for the good of those who love and obey.  So, beloved, if you are “on an ark” surrounded by, well, whatever; if you are frowning like Noah and his family AND if all of this is happening as you are being obedient to God, hold on.  Blessings are on their way.  Rainbows are promised.
